These pages are a sampling of on-going periods of development in my painting practice in which I maintain that painting is, was and always will be, for me, exercises in experimentation and less a means of adopting some signature style. Like an essayist or scientist, the act becomes a means of getting at the truths of being a creative human on planet Earth. The only reason to do it is to see what it can do.
